Your second home

When the Honors College becomes your second home, you do better academically, have more positive experiences, and go on to brighter futures. That’s why community matters to us. We’re an intimate cohort within our vibrant urban research university, providing the highest levels of academic rigor while fostering an atmosphere of innovative exploration, collaboration and skill sharing.

From engaging discussions with VCU’s finest faculty members to interactive multidisciplinary courses, the Honors College offers opportunities for you to discover your passions. Mentorship and internship programs, student organizations and our residence hall further the sense of community and intellectual development. And our emphasis on active learning means Honors students learn and make a difference through community engagement, hands-on research projects and global service opportunities, extending the Honors community into the community at large.

In our building, you will find your own dedicated lounge, whether you live here or not, along with music practice rooms and private study spaces. Your Honors administration and advising are here, all in one easy-access place. Our single dorm rooms have private baths, and each floor offers common spaces for playing games, making art or just taking a break. And you’ll find all of this in the heart of VCU’s campus – and of the city itself.
