Anne L. Chandler

Anne Chandler, Ph.D., joined the Honors College as Associate Director in 1996 and is now the Senior Associate Dean of the Honors College. In addition to her appointment in the Honors College, she is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling and a member of the VCU Graduate School faculty.
Dr. Chandler’s professional areas of interest include vocational and career development and psychosocial adaptation to loss. She has published a number of articles in these areas and continues to teach courses about coping with loss. She is an active member of the rehabilitation counseling community and serves as an editorial board member for two of the journals in this discipline. Dr. Chandler is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling honorary society, an honorary member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and a selected member of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Dr. Chandler received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Counseling at Michigan State University and a B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from Vanderbilt University.
